Without color – works that dispense with the actual material of a painter, namely color. Despite the reduction to black, white and shades of gray, the broad spectrum of this painting is fascinating. Such a reduced work includes everything that painting can mean – and paradoxically addresses the essence of painting by consistently dispensing with color.
