Like a gray, the monochrome of black exudes elegance and depth despite its simplicity. Black – this pure color is often a symbol of the unknown, perhaps even frightening. But it is precisely this purity and mystery that makes it particularly interesting. The light refracts on the visible structures of the brushstrokes and tools. Depending on the incidence of light and the colors in the surroundings, a play of light, shadow and reflections takes place.

Many things can happen when looking at a purely black picture. Emotions such as awe, humility, thoughts of times gone by, experiences, good and bad, astonishment and little fantasy trips – the black allows everything.
