Like gray, the monochromatic nature of black exudes a certain elegance and depth despite its simplicity. Black – this pure color is often a symbol of the unknown, perhaps even frightening. But it is precisely this purity and mystery that makes it particularly interesting. The light refracts on the visible structures of the brushstrokes and tools. Depending on the incidence of light and the colors in the surroundings, a play of light, shadow and reflections takes place.

The picture is divided diagonally. In one half, overlapping horizontal and vertical paths alternate. The other half is characterized by gentle and overlapping curves.
