” Manchmal ist Richtung nur Behauptung ” Sometimes direction is merely an assertion: Movement, traces, and boundaries are visible on the surface, but nothing truly leads anywhere in a clear-cut way. The image seems as if it wants to suggest a direction, yet remains open-ended. For me, that is precisely where the tension lies: between setting out and standing still, between signs and doubt.

The title of the work does not explain the image – nor is it meant to. It stands alongside it, rather, like a thought that occurred to me as I was looking at it.
