Butterfly Effect — the inspiration for the title of this work is a term from psychology, as its meaning is quite fitting for one’s own experiences.
The butterfly effect describes the idea that a very small change at the beginning can later have major and largely unpredictable consequences. In psychology, this effect refers to the idea that a casual remark, a small decision, a chance encounter, or an experience that seems insignificant at first can, in the long term—sometimes years later—have a profound impact on a person’s life path, self-image, or behavior.
The work emerged from the interplay of intuition, deliberate intervention, and an open process. Spontaneous decisions interact with deliberately established structures to shape the composition. The painting remains non-representational, leaving room for personal interpretations. This original contemporary artwork by Björn Wiedemann bridges the gap between Abstract Expressionism and Art Informel. It serves as a distinctive, one-of-a-kind piece for modern living spaces, offices, or sophisticated interior designs.
