Review: Vernissage “Diagnosis: Art” – Encounter, Conversations & Resonance

Despite midsummer temperatures of 38°C , many visitors found their way to the joint practice Dr. Barche & Fruth in Burg on Tuesday evening, 1. July 2025 – for the official opening of my exhibition “Diagnosis: Art”.

It was an evening full of encounters, lively conversations, quiet and loud impressions – and above all: full of resonance and a wonderful atmosphere. The evening was accompanied by live music played on the piano.

A special place for special art

At first glance, the rooms of a doctor’s surgery may seem unusual for an art exhibition – but that is precisely what makes them so appealing. This is where art meets everyday life, expression meets analysis, color meets function.

For three months – until September 30, 2025 – the medically routine meets the intuitively expressive of my painting in these rooms. It offers a field of tension that invites reflection – but also quiet contemplation.

I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who attended this evening – thank you for the attention, the openness and the appreciative discussions. Special thanks go to Dr. med. Barche and K. Fruth, who made this exhibition possible in the first place. Many thanks also to the kind people who helped so diligently with the set-up. I would also like to thank the musician Pascal, who provided atmospheric piano accompaniment for the evening.
